Brief info

Justice Brobbey has served as the Curator at Manhyia Palace Museum in Kumasi, Ghana, since September 2010. He has extensive knowledge and experience in administrative and collections management activities, including registration, cataloguing, research, Exhibitions, fundraising, and project management. Prior to his appointment as the curator, he served as the administrative secretary of Otumfuo Opoku Ware Jubilee Foundation for five years (2003 to 2007).
He has attended a couple of workshops organized by The British Museum in Kumasi and another by UNESCO for Museum Curators and Librarians at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.
Under his leadership, Manhyia Palace Museum has received several awards, including the Millennium Excellence Award for promoting Culture in Ghana in 2020, and the Ghana Tourism Authority Awards as Site Attraction of the Year for 2015, 2016, and 2024. Additionally, Justice Brobbey has been recognized with the National and Regional Ghana Tourism Authority Awards as Site Guide of the Year for 2015, 2016, and 2024.
Justice Brobbey holds a first degree in History and Philosophy combined from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra and a post graduate Advance Diploma in Museum Studies from Algonquin College, Ottawa, Canada. During his studies in Canada, he researched and wrote a Paper on Collections Management Policy for Manhyia Palace Museum.
