Brief info
Historian of economics and development of among others, the central bank of Ghana, he served as development cooperation advisor to former President of Ghana, John Kufuor. He has worked in over a dozen African countries on development cooperation. Some of these engagements influenced his publications such as:

In the field of cultural economy, Agyeman-Duah was Director of the National Museum of Ghana. His own family history has informed his writings on exile, alienation, and rediscovery. He was a member of the production team of the BBC and PBS series, Into Africa and The Wonders of the African World presented by the Harvard historian, Henry Louis Gates Jr.
Author of Seychelles in the series of Africa - An Encyclopedia of Culture and Society in Africa (ABC-CLIO of California), Yaa Asantewaa, the Heroism of an African Queen is also a television documentary whose rights were recently acquired by a Hollywood film company for a feature epic.
Agyeman-Duah was a Research Associate at the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute at Harvard University from 1998-1999 and later at the Exeter College of the University of Oxford. He was also a Centenary Research Associate at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. He has received over twenty national and international awards, including the Order of the Volta - Republic of Ghana, and was the second African to be awarded the Distinguished Friend of the University of Oxford.
He studied at the London School of Economics, the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, and the University of Wales.
